New Art Exchange


Problem
Musicians, creatives, and artists often face challenges with fair compensation for their work. 
Engaging younger audiences with the New Art Exchange and encouraging participation in the Hyson Green area, a location outside the city centre, were key challenges.

Process
The team prioritised fair pay for all involved artists and creatives, ensuring transparency and respect throughout the festival’s planning and delivery. 

Key involvements were the creation of social media and print assets, collecting data through audience and artist surveys and working with 3 artists to create an interactive installation and live visuals for the main event. 

Result
The festival successfully supported and fairly compensated creatives, increased youth involvement with New Art Exchange, and helped raise awareness of Hyson Green as a vibrant cultural hub beyond the city centre.
